Armenian Association of Diabetic Foot (AADF) aims to contribute to reveal, treat and supervise diabetes threatened people in particular those, who suffer from diabetic foot disease.

Our mission is to disseminate worldwide accepted standards and knowledge-base among Armenian diabetic professionals and public community by means of:

  • implementing short and long-term educational programs in collaboration with different parties working with diabetic specialists (endocrinologists, cardiologists, general, orthopedic and vascular surgeons, nephrologists as well as family physicians)

  • establishing relations with international professional organizations aiming to decrease morbidity and mortality rates among diabetic foot patients and increasing quality of life for them

  • scientific researches for revealing the origins, concomitant and supporting factors which develop diabetic foot and finally bringing to amputation and death

  • creating the nationwide diabetic foot patient registry and epidemiological analysis of the diabetes related amputations of the lower limbs and amputation related mortality rate analysis

  • revealing risk groups and applying preventive measures in time

  • organizing periodical meetings, seminars, conferences and other scientific-educational events devoted to diabetic foot salvage

  • establishing a specialized diabetic foot multi-disciplinar clinic and departments in the regional hospitals equipped with the modern medical equipment.
